Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching in the United States seeks an experienced Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions in a manufacturing setting. You will translate complex operational needs into scalable Ignition architectures, overseeing site assessments, deployment, and production rollout to ensure reliability and performance.

You will guide IT/OT convergence, integrate PLC platforms, develop Python scripts, and build dashboards for KPIs and OEE,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 1+ year experience in a similar role (10+ years strongly preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA architecture and system design.
• Active Ignition Gold Certification is highly preferred.
• Proven experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial communication protocols.
• Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness.
• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment.
• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions.
• Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and operational performance.
• Lead project execution, collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and continuous system improvements.
