Job summary

JoB Training & Coaching is seeking a highly skilled Ignition Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced SCADA solutions within a manufacturing environment.

This role requires a strong technical leader who can translate complex operational requirements into scalable Ignition architectures, working with cross‑functional teams to deliver site assessments through production rollout with reliability and data‑driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year experience in similar role (10+ years strongly preferred).
• Strong hands-on Ignition SCADA architecture and system design.
• Active Ignition Gold Certification highly preferred.
• Experience with PLC integration and multiple industrial protocols.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design robust Ignition SCADA systems, including Tag Providers, gateways, and enterprise/edge deployments.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate machine connectivity and data integration readiness.
• Define and implement IT/OT integration strategies across multiple PLC platforms.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts within the Ignition environment.
• Design and implement database interfaces, historians, and reporting solutions.
• Build intuitive dashboards to visualize plant KPIs, OEE, and operational performance.
• Lead project execution, collaborating with distributed engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and continuous system improvements.

• Solid understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial data flows


• Proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition


• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• EU citizenship and a valid passport are required
