Job summary

Candidtalent is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the architecture of Manufacturing Intelligence solutions in North Louisiana. You will shape how Ignition integrates with historians, MES, ERP and PLCs, set enterprise standards and govern REST APIs, OPC UA and MQTT, and guide data architecture for analytics and reporting.

You will establish reusable patterns, define quality standards, and mentor junior architects while collaborating with customer IT and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls or SCADA with architecture leadership across multiple projects.
• Deep expertise in enterprise integration strategies, data architecture and governance.
• Ignition, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and integration technologies (OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs).
• Ability to lead design reviews, influence teams, maintain architectural consistency and mentor staff.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of Manufacturing Intelligence solutions across projects.
• Define scalable, secure, maintainable technical designs and integration standards.
• Guide data architecture, databases and enterprise integration strategies.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns and quality standards (CI/CD, testing, deployment).
• Collaborate with customer IT, engineering and cybersecurity teams; present architecture reviews.
• Mentor Architects I and senior engineers; contribute to hiring and workforce planning.
