Job summary

Rodney Hunt is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage day-to-day shipping for our gates and water control systems facility. You will prepare shipments, coordinate with carriers, and maintain accurate shipping records to ensure timely delivery of large, customized components.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years in inventory control, shipping, logistics, or warehouse ops.
Experience with domestic and international shipments and shipping docs.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP/Shipping software (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/ShipStation).
Strong attention to detail and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments of gates and water control equipment.
Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and freight labels per requirements.
Work with carriers (LTL/FTL/flatbed/heavy haul) to arrange transport.
Ensure shipments are properly packed, loaded, and secured.
Maintain shipping logs and verify contents against orders and invoices.
Collaborate with production, inventory, and QA to ensure readiness of shipments.
Monitor freight costs and support cost-efficient decisions.
Assist with loading trucks and coordinating with forklift personnel.
Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and cycle counts.
