Job summary

Rodney Hunt is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to organize day-to-day shipping for a manufacturing facility specializing in gates and water control systems. Responsibilities include preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, maintaining records, ensuring timely delivery of large components, and supporting inventory accuracy.

Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, experienced with industrial freight, and comfortable with ERP/shipping software; able to work in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
Proficient in shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, ShipStation or similar ERP/shipping systems.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments of gates, components, and related water control equipment.
Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and freight labels.
Work with logistics providers and freight carriers (LTL, FTL, flatbed, heavy haul) to arrange transportation.
Ensure shipments are packed, loaded, and secured properly for transit.
Maintain accurate shipping logs, documentation, and database records.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and inventory teams to ensure readiness of outgoing shipments.
