You will provide technical assistance to customers, work independently, and support maintenance tasks, including covering vacation and open shifts. The position emphasizes mobility and attentiveness to safety in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Ability to work in a mill environment.
• Sound mechanical aptitude.
• Employee must be punctual and dependable.
• Overtime may be required.
• Frequent use of gloves and eye protection.

Responsibilities

• Work a scheduled swing shift.
• Maintain equipment and keep area clean.
• Obtain, prepare, and analyze hot metal samples using a Leco analyzer.
• Operate injection equipment.
• Record information accurately and document problems.
• Ensure all equipment operates properly and follow SOPs.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and work independently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cover vacation/open shifts.
• Maintain logbooks and report potential problems to supervisor.
