Job summary

STOPA Anlagenbau GmbH is seeking a skilled Service and Maintenance Technician for field-based work in the United States. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated storage systems, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires travel to client sites (up to 90%), with compensation for travel and work hours, plus potential weekend work and opportunities for professional growth within STOPA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years in servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated/industrial systems or robotics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with automation software and controls (PLCs, HMIs) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the service manager to ensure successful maintenance of systems.
• Maintain a cooperative and effective work environment with the service/install team.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components; calibrate system components.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support for customers and train users.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and document maintenance and parts inventory.
