Job summary

EGA Spectro Alloys LLC is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep a high-volume aluminum recycling operation running safely and reliably. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.

This role rewards mechanical problem-solvers who take ownership and work closely with Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience or related background.
• Basic experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot and cold environments).
• Strong attendance, reliability, and time management.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment experience.
• Background in recycling, foundry, aggregate, mining, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, and production systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems with support from experienced team members.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Use hand tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic tools to complete repairs.
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Production teams to reduce downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
