TEKsystems is seeking an Industrial Security Specialist for an onsite contract role in Reston, VA. The candidate will support Microsoft CST NST within the LENS Operations, ensuring compliance with federal and internal security standards across SWAs and data centers.

Responsibilities include maintaining inspection-ready environments, managing access, supporting incident response, and sustaining COMSEC accountability and procedures. TS/SCI clearance is required for all personnel.

Description

The Industrial Security Specialist (ISS) will support Microsofts Customer Security and Trust (CST) organization, specifically the National Security Team (NST) within the greater Law Enforcement National Security (LENS) Operations. This role ensures compliance with federal and internal security standards across Microsofts Secure Work Areas (SWAs) and select Data Centers. The ISS will maintain inspection-ready environments, manage personnel and visitor access, and coordinate incident response activitiesall critical to safeguarding Microsofts national security commitments. The candidate possesses experience managing COMSEC accounts, safeguarding classified material, supporting security compliance activities, and maintaining accurate accountability records in a fast-paced classified environment.

Scope of Services

Secure Work Areas & Datacenter Operational Compliance: Maintain inspection-ready posture (SOP conformance, SF701/702, visitor/access logs, alarm/incident logs).

Self-Inspections & Perimeter/Ceiling Checks: Execute per NST cadence; log findings and track corrective actions (CAPs).

Personnel Eligibility & Visit Control: Verify attributes/eligibilities and visitor prerequisites; prepare escort packages and maintain logs per badge color/clearance protocols.

Accountability: Perform receipt, inventory, transfer, issuance, destruction, and reconciliation of COMSEC material in accordance with NSA and organizational procedures

Incident Intake & Investigations Support: Assist in investigating and reporting incidents, security violations and discrepancies

Training & Briefings: Conduct security education, annual refresher training, and awareness briefings for cleared personnel

Governance Artifacts: Support DD254-related artifacts and SOW/SLA/MOU/MOA document control to inspection-ready standards

Coordinate with internal program teams, government customers, and external agencies on security-related matters

Develop, maintain, and update COMSEC procedures and SOPs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
