Job summary

McGough, a respected construction partner, seeks an Industrial Scheduler to maintain schedules for industrial projects using critical path methods and Last Planner System. The role involves developing Baseline schedules, coordinating with operations, and coordinating with design and permitting processes.

Travel nationwide is possible with minimal travel. The candidate should have strong communication, relationship-building, and scheduling software skills, preferably with Primavera P6 and PSP

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction phase of project lifecycle.
• Experience working as part of a design-build contractor.
• Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with owners, subcontractors, senior leaders, and project teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement accepted Planning & Scheduling best practices.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and construction documents for baseline schedules.
• Monitor project schedules and provide support to Operations.
• Represent McGough Construction to owners, subcontractors and their reps.
• Use analytics to identify project trends and support risk mitigation.
• Cost and manpower load schedules for project execution.
• Prepare Time Impact Analyses per industry practices.
• Help project teams develop alternate sequencing scenarios.
• Develop detailed schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate scope to update detailed schedules.
• Coordinate with non-construction processes (submittals, design, permitting).
• Gather weekly work plans from subs and update schedules.
• Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings on projects.
• Evaluate schedule progress and identify problem areas.
• Support Lean events and the McGough way.
• Handle special projects and other duties as needed.
