Job summary
Kanawha Scales & Systems LLC is seeking a skilled Scale Service Technician with CDL for our Memphis, TN team. The role ensures accurate operation of industrial and commercial scales through installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and calibration equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience in installing, calibrating, and repairing scales.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and NIST Handbook 44 is a plus.
- Proficiency with calibration and measurement equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
- AC/DC, MIG welding experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Scale Installation: Install scales per manufacturer specs.
- Calibration: Perform calibration procedures and adjust settings.
- Maintenance and Repair: Routine maintenance and prompt repairs.
- Inspection: Check wear, damage, and functionality of load cells and displays.
- Documentation: Maintain service and calibration records.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate service requirements and technical questions.
