Job summary

Kanawha Scales & Systems (KSS) in Harrison, OH is seeking a Scale Service Technician to install, calibrate, and service a range of industrial scales. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and communicate with clients about service needs and estimates.

Requirements include a CDL (Class B or A) and 2–3 years of related experience. The role involves fieldwork in varied environments, with safety protocols and documentation duties. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• CDL class B (or A) required and valid driver's license.
• 2–3 years of related industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales per manufacturer specs.
• Perform calibration procedures and adjust settings for precision.
• Maintain and repair scales; diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect scales for wear and integrity of load cells and displays.
• Document service reports and calibration certificates.
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs and estimates.
• Follow safety protocols around heavy equipment and electrical components.
• Ensure scales meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Track tools and parts; assist with inventory as needed.
• Stay updated on scale technology through training.
