Kanawha Scales & Systems, a leader in industrial weighing, is seeking a Scale Service Technician with CDL for our Wheeling, WV team. You will install, calibrate, and service a range of scales used in manufacturing and utilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and NIST Handbook 44 standards.
• Proficient with calibration and measurement equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B (or A) CDL a plus.
• AC/DC, MIG Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales.
• Perform calibration procedures to meet precision requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair scales.
• Inspect scales for wear, damage, and functionality; address issues with load cells and displays.
• Maintain service and calibration records and certificates.
• Communicate with clients regarding service requirements and estimates.
• Follow safety protocols when working with heavy equipment and electrical components.
• Track tools, parts, and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.
• Stay updated on scale technology advancements.
