Job summary

Kanawha Scales & Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled Scale Service Technician for our Harrison, OH team. You will ensure accurate operation of scales, including installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.

The role requires experience with scale installation and repair, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a valid driver’s license. CDL and welding experience are a plus; high school diploma or technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and NIST Handbook 44.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales per manufacturer specs.
• Perform calibration procedures and adjust settings to meet precision requirements.
• Maintain and repair scales to minimize downtime.
• Inspect scales for wear, damage, and functionality; address issues with components.
• Maintain detailed service and calibration records and reports.
• Communicate service estimates and technical questions with customers.
