This position reports to

Market Development Manager - Data Center

Your role and responsibilities

The Industrial Sales Specialist will work closely with the largest players in the F&B, Datacenters, Renewable Energy, Water/Wastewater & Infrastructure market segments, building long-term relationships with key stakeholders, securing ABB ELIP products as the preferred solution, and helping drive the profitability growth of the business. This role involves visiting end-user customers and other decision-makers to understand their needs, applications, and specify ABB’s products. The successful candidate will execute the market plan, report progress, and maintain contact with the Market Development Manager. Although this is a remote position, candidates should be located in the North Carolina - Virginia - DC region. This role contributes to the Electrification Installation Products Division in the South Region and involves:

  • Understanding segment customer needs and proposing solutions from the ABB ELIP portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Identifying and developing relationships with new end-users, engineering firms, OEMs, and decision-makers.
  • Delivering technical support and training to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to meet sales targets and implement strategies.
Qualifications for the role
  • BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical specification/product marketing in the electrical industry, preferably in Transportation & Industrial OEM markets.
  • Proven track record in customer and business development.
  • Ability to understand and apply the product portfolio to market segments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Existing work authorization to work in the US.
