Job summary

Robinson Fans, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial air-moving equipment with locations nationwide. We are seeking an organized Sales Estimator to prepare quotes, analyze customer needs for repair, replacement, or new products, and work closely with customers and the sales team.

Your role involves reviewing inquiries, obtaining specs, and producing timely, accurate estimates and production data. Join a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of estimating experience or extensive background in customer service or inside sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Basic math skills to calculate data and solve practical problems.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential information.
• Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review customer inquiries and specifications.
• Obtain technical specifications from customers or sales reps to identify custom-engineered products.
• Compile pricing, production timeline, and quotes for customers.
• Evaluate incoming customer equipment for functionality if needed.
• Ensure all pricing and quote data is stored accurately.
• Respond to customer and representative inquiries promptly and helpfully.
• Collaborate with drafting, purchasing and engineering departments.
• Generate sales orders when needed and transfer information to production.
