Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a Safety Program Manager to lead and sustain a comprehensive SHE program at our Newark-area facility. Reporting to the Regional Safety Manager and Facility Manager, you will partner with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations.

You will drive OSHA compliance, conduct incident investigations, manage training, and oversee contractor safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of occupational health and safety experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with OSHA 1910/1926 and state safety regulations.
• Experience supporting operations and maintenance in an industrial facility.
• Professional safety certifications such as ASP, CSP, OHST, or CHST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) programs, ensuring safety excellence.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926, permits, and Reworld safety requirements, including VPP initiatives where applicable.
• Monitor KPIs, audits, field observations, and inspections; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Lead accident, near-miss, first-aid, recordable, vehicle, and contractor incident investigations with root cause analysis.
• Maintain complete, accurate safety records, logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage the facility safety training program and contractor compliance requirements.
• Educate and motivate employees on safe work practices; coach on safe behaviors.
• Oversee contractor and temporary worker safety performance and qualifications.
• Support environmental compliance activities including inspections and reporting.
