Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Safety Program Manager to lead and sustain a comprehensive SHE program across our facility. You will ensure OSHA compliance, drive safety culture, manage training, and coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

The role oversees incident investigations, regulatory documentation, and environmental responsibilities, with potential cross-facility collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of occupational health and safety experience in industrial settings are preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 and related state regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility's Safety, Health, and Environmental programs, ensuring safety excellence and injury-free operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, permits, and internal safety requirements; drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor program effectiveness with KPIs, audits, and inspections; implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations of incidents and coordinate medical responses and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate safety records and regulatory documentation.
• Oversee the facility safety training program and contractor safety requirements.
• Educate and coach employees on safe work practices and drive a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with leadership to oversee contractor and temporary worker safety performance.
• Serve as primary contact for occupational health programs and medical surveillance.
• Support environmental compliance activities including inspections and reporting.
• Lead safety committees and drive cross-functional safety initiatives.
