Job summary

Americold is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems across our Milwaukie warehouse. You will inspect, test, calibrate, and document preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation under general supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in industrial refrigeration maintenance or 3+ years in general industrial maintenance with RETA/EPA Universal, and certification in lockout/tagout and hazmat.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance or 3 years industrial maintenance with RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal certification.
Completion of assigned industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses required.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various control systems including ALTA and Allen Bradley.
Hazmat training and certification required.

Responsibilities

Perform operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.
Monitor system performance and determine when systems are not operating correctly.
Replace refrigeration system components following safe lockout/tagout procedures.
Conduct basic pump out and evacuate refrigerant for valve replacements or repair.
Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
Test, calibrate, and evaluate equipment performance and inspect work for safety and specifications.
Inspect completed work for compliance to blueprints, specs, and safety standards.
Maintain preventive maintenance records and keep work areas organized.
Work flexible shifts, including on call.
