Job summary

Americold is seeking a refrigeration maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance, repair, and adjustment of industrial refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse, ensuring safe and reliable operation. You will monitor performance, replace components, test and calibrate equipment, and maintain preventive maintenance records in compliance with OSHA standards.

This on-site role requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including on-call, and to meet physical requirements in a cold

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years industrial refrigeration maintenance experience OR 3+ years industrial maintenance with RETA, Garden City, or EPA Universal certification.
• Industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses completed.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair ALTA and Allen Bradley control systems.
• Hazmat training and certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor system performance and determine when systems are not operating correctly.
• Replace refrigeration system components following lockout/tagout procedures and program standards.
• Conduct basic pump out and evacuate refrigerant as necessary for valve replacement or repair.
• Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Test, calibrate, and evaluate equipment performance and inspect completed work for compliance with specs and safety standards.
• Inspect completed work for compliance to blueprints, specs, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Work flexible shifts, including on call.
