Job summary

International Erosion Control Association is seeking a Project Engineer to lead large refrigeration projects from inception through commissioning. You will manage contracts, schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a strong leader with 5–7 years in industrial refrigeration or related construction, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. On-site coordination with vendors and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred) or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale refrigeration construction projects from award to commissioning.
• Serve as primary client contact with owners and general contractors.
• Review contracts to ensure scope and terms compliance.
• Coordinate with trades to maintain quality, budget, and schedules.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Oversee staffing and procurement to meet site delivery deadlines.
• Build relationships with vendors for cost-effective materials.
• Manage change orders and ensure customer satisfaction within budget.
• Support design teams to align with milestones.
• Coordinate with purchasing to track deliveries and schedules.
• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with regulations for ammonia/CO2 systems.
• Maintain thorough records and provide updates to leadership and clients.
