Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. in Virginia leads large-scale refrigeration projects from design through commissioning.

As Project Manager you will drive on-time delivery, manage budgets, coordinate with owners, general contractors, and engineering teams, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across ammonia and CO2 systems. You will build schedules, oversee procurement, monitor changes, and maintain strong client relationships while navigating multi-site deployments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred) or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 5–7 years of managing large-scale industrial refrigeration or related projects.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Strong negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective procurement and issue resolution.
• Ability to make independent decisions within budget; seek guidance on complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale refrigeration construction projects from contract award to commissioning and punch list completion.
• Act as primary client contact with owners and general contractors; ensure clear communication.
• Review contracts for scope, terms, and conditions; manage changes and budgets.
• Coordinate with trades to keep quality, schedule, and costs on track.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; oversee staffing and procurement.
• Monitor material deliveries and supplier relationships; manage risk and compliance.
