Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale refrigeration projects from concept through commissioning. The role ensures customer specifications are met while maintaining safety, quality, and budgets, with strong organizational leadership and attention to detail.

The position requires travel nationwide and onsite coordination at Lyndhurst, VA facilities. You will lead cross-functional teams, review contracts, develop schedules, and manage procurement,

Qualifications

• BSME degree required.
• 5–7 years of industrial refrigeration project management experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with project management software; CAD drawing familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale refrigeration projects from award to commissioning.
• Manage contracts to align with scope and terms.
• Coordinate with trades to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Staff appropriately and procure materials for timely delivery.
• Maintain vendor relationships for cost-effective procurement.
• Manage scope and change orders to control costs.
• Track progress and ensure compliance with regulations (ammonia/CO2).
• Provide regular updates to leadership and clients.
• Offer weekend/evening field support when needed.
