Didion Inc. in Cambria, Wisconsin, is seeking an Industrial Rail and Yard Equipment Operator for a full-time day shift. You will inspect equipment, review priorities on our digital tools, and set the pace for the yard.

You’ll operate locomotives and yard trucks, move railcars and trailers, and ensure food-grade loads are loaded and shipped safely while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (technical training a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with locomotives or yard trucks preferred.
  • Background in manufacturing or food-safe environments is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Team-first mindset, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Clear communication over 2-way radio and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and inspect heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance.
  • Support truck and rail loadouts to meet delivery timelines.
  • Perform conductor/grounds duties in the rail yard.
  • Clean, maintain, and stage equipment so it’s always ready.
  • Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures without compromise.

Industrial Rail and Yard Equipment OperatorLocation: Cambria, WISchedule: Day shift, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (2-2-3 rotation)Employment Type: Full-timeCompensation: $25–$30 per hour, based on experienceYour day in the seatAt Didion, every shift starts with precision. You’ll check your equipment, review priorities on our digital tools, and then set the pace for the yard.
