Didion Inc. in Cambria, WI is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the night shift (6pm-6am).

This full-time role powers our food production operations with locomotives, yard trucks, and rail-related equipment. You will inspect and operate heavy machinery, support loadouts, perform conductor/grounds duties in the rail yard, and ensure safety and food-safety standards while keeping equipment ready to roll.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (bonus points for technical training).
  • Experience with locomotives or yard trucks? Even better.
  • Manufacturing or food-safe environment experience preferred.

Compensation:$25-$30 per hour - based on experience

What You'll Be Driving (Literally & Figuratively):
  • Locomotives, yard trucks, and other heavy machinery that keep our logistics flowing.
  • Railcars and trailers - moved with precision and care.
  • High-quality food products - loaded and shipped with accuracy and pride.
Your Day‑to‑Day:
  • Operate and inspect equipment.
  • Support truck and rail loadouts to meet delivery timelines.
  • Perform conductor/grounds duties in the rail yard.
  • Keep equipment clean, maintained, and ready to roll.
  • Use tech tools to track schedules and maintenance.

What You Bring to the Table:

Physical & Environmental Expectations:
  • You're comfortable with noise, dust, heat, and cold.

  • Can work at heights over 20 feet and in confined spaces.
  • Communicate clearly via 2-way radio and follow safety protocols.
