Job summary

Avam is seeking a Business Development Representative for Industrial Quality Control to introduce our microbiology portfolio to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers, industrial biotech firms, fermentation-based producers, contract manufacturers, and QC laboratories.

You will own prospecting and early qualification, partnering with the Account Executive for technical evaluations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales development or similar roles in scientific/industrial markets.
• Lab, microbiology, or quality-control background encouraged.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to research organizations.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and outbound prospecting tools.

Responsibilities

• Research and prioritize target accounts across pharma, biotech, fermentation, and QC testing.
• Identify relevant decision-makers and procurement stakeholders.
• Execute personalized outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Qualify prospects based on application fit, testing needs, and purchasing processes.
• Schedule discovery meetings and coordinate handoffs to the Account Executive with notes.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and track next steps.
