Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Pump Mechanic in BLUE ISLAND, IL for a contract-to-hire role on onsite operations. You will work with large industrial pumps, disassembling, diagnosing, repairing, and reassembling to ensure quality and functionality, using manual machining and welding as required.

The role requires 5+ years of pump repair experience, proficiency with listed hand tools, accurate inspection reporting, and a collaborative work style.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a technician, preferably in pump repair.
Proficiency with hand tools listed in the job posting.
Ability to read, write, speak, and interpret English for instructions and reports.
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
Ownership of personal tools.

Responsibilities

Receive, disassemble, inspect, diagnose, repair, and reassemble large industrial rotating equipment.
Utilize hand tools and measurement devices as listed.
Apply manual machining and welding as needed.
