Hydro Inc. in Chicago is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic for its Aftermarket Pump Repair Shop in the West Loop. You will dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble customers' machinery, with emphasis on pumps, compressors, and small turbines.

The role requires 5 years of pump mechanic experience, millwright training or equivalent, welding proficiency (acetylene and electric arc), and ability to work with a range of shop tools. You may lead in supervisors' absence and build strong team relations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of pump mechanic experience in shop repair and field work.
• Proficiency with power and hand tools and welding.
• High school diploma; millwright training or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy components and operate shop equipment.

Responsabilités

• Diagnoses, disassembles, repairs and rebuilds pumps and related equipment.
• Assess problems and make repairs in the field as needed.
• Operate workshop equipment and perform maintenance welding.
• Serve as lead person in supervisor's absence.
