Job summary

Flow Control Group is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to inspect, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment. You will diagnose problems, measure components with precision tools, and work from drawings and specifications in a hands-on shop and field setting.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repairs to high quality standards while following safety procedures. Overtime or weekend work may be required in busy periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand equipment specifications.
• Ability to lift, move and work around heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, measure, repair, rebuild and assemble pumps and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine cause of failure.
• Perform repairs and replacements of bearings, seals, packing, gears, shafts and other components.
• Measure shafts, housings, bearings, and impellers with precision tools.
• Read and interpret pump drawings and specifications.
• Operate shop equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Assist with field service or emergency repairs when needed.
