Job summary

Fischer Process Industries, part of Tencarva Machinery Company, seeks an experienced technician to repair and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment in our service center and on customer sites across the region.

You will diagnose failures, perform complete tear-downs, and ensure OEM specifications during rebuilds, with laser alignment and precise measurements playing a key role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on industrial pump repair, rebuild, rotating equipment service, millwright, or related mechanical experience required (5+ years preferred)
• Ability to independently complete full tear-down and rebuild projects from inspection through final testing
• Experience with centrifugal pumps, vertical turbine pumps, and related rotating equipment preferred
• Familiarity with laser alignment and precision mechanical measurements
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts diagrams, and OEM documentation
• Comfortable performing occasional field service work at customer facilities
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures in industrial pumps and rotating equipment
• Perform complete tear-downs, repairs, rebuilds, and remanufacturing work to OEM specifications
• Replace bearings, seals, shafts, impellers, wear components, and other repair parts
• Perform laser alignment and other precision mechanical measurements
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts diagrams, manuals, and OEM documentation
• Test, inspect, and verify equipment performance following repair completion
• Assist with field troubleshooting, equipment removal, installation, alignment, and startup activities
• Perform limited manual machining as needed to support rebuild work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
