Job summary

Drafto in Cochranton, PA is hiring a full-time, on-site Project Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for below the hook material handling equipment construction and facility projects, using drawings, specifications, and technical data. You will analyze labor, material, and equipment, develop budgets and cost breakdowns, and update estimates as scopes evolve.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Estimation and Construction Estimating skills for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates.
• Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Budgeting skills to support financial planning, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present estimate findings clearly.
• Relevant experience in construction, steel mill facilities, or industrial projects, with familiarity in reading blueprints and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with estimation and spreadsheet software, and strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards, procurement processes, and basic contract/bid procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements; develop budgets and cost breakdowns.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for below the hook material handling equipment related construction and facility projects.
• Update estimates as project scopes and timelines evolve.
