Job summary

Pengate Handling Systems, Inc. is seeking a Cost Engineer / Estimator in Chalfont, PA to develop detailed cost estimates and competitive proposals for material handling and automation projects.

You will collaborate with Sales, Applications Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to evaluate requirements, obtain quotations, and validate costs, ensuring accurate pricing and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• 2–5 years of estimating/engineering support experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and project specifications desired.
• Experience with material handling/automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for material handling and automation projects.
• Evaluate customer requirements, drawings, layouts, and scopes.
• Create pricing packages and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations for pricing and alignment.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for pricing decisions.
