Job summary

NOOTER Construction in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for industrial and commercial projects, supporting preconstruction by analyzing drawings, specs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing in collaboration with project management, engineering, procurement, and operations.

You will perform quantity takeoffs, compare vendor quotations, participate in pre-bid meetings, and conduct site visits to validate scope

Qualifications

• Two to five years of estimating experience in mechanical construction.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with vendor pricing, supplier quotations, and subcontractor input.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, bid packages, and technical documents to develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate vendor quotations and subcontractor input.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct jobsite visits to validate scope and pricing assumptions.
• Assess project risks, analyze market conditions, and prepare competitive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, and operations to support planning and bidding.
