Job summary

Actus Consulting Group is seeking a Project Engineer / Site Superintendent in Houston, TX to support industrial projects across chemical, automotive, semiconductor, and food processing facilities. Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in industrial construction or a related field.
• Working knowledge of construction contracts and OSHA safety standards.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to prepare or review daily logs and monthly progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications; estimate project costs and labor hours.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate materials and subcontracted work in accordance with contract documents and quality requirements.
• Confirm that required material testing is completed and results are recorded.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors and track progress in assigned areas.
• Communicate expectations for schedules, construction methods, permits, safety, and quality.
• Attend daily and weekly progress meetings and plan upcoming work.
• Support project closeout, including financial settlement, demobilization, and handover to the customer.
• Build effective working relationships with customers and project partners.
