Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial projects in Suffolk, VA.

The role reports to the Director of Industrial Services and ensures our field forces have the materials, equipment and information necessary to complete the scope of work. You will review permits, proposals, contracts and schedules, prepare RFIs and submittals, manage purchases, and help track progress, safety, and client communications throughout the project

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with PDF editing software (Bluebeam).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management in permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders.
• Review specifications and drawings for subcontractor scopes and project tracking.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs and submittals; maintain logs.
• Manage project materials and equipment purchases; track deliveries and invoices.
• Support buyout process with project manager and procurement.
• Create and maintain internal project schedules and tracking reports.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, subcontractors and vendors; document minutes.
