Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial projects.

You will report to the Director of Industrial Services and ensure crews have materials, equipment, and information to complete the scope efficiently. Responsibilities include reviewing permits, proposals, contracts, schedules, change orders, and submittals; coordinating with vendors and subcontractors; maintaining project logs; and supporting safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1–3 years of experience in construction.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, PDF editing).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks) is a plus.
• Ability to learn company-specific software (Procore, Viewpoint).
• Proven ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with permits, proposals, contracts, schedules, and change orders.
• Review specs/drawings for subcontractor scopes and project tracking.
• Prepare and distribute RFIs and submittals; maintain logs.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors; track deliveries and invoices.
• Create and maintain project schedules and tracking reports.
• Support field in expediting schedules, site safety, and QA/QC.
• Attend project meetings and prepare minutes; closeout documentation.
