Job summary

United Parcel Service Sweden Aktiebolag seeks a Project Manager for construction of low to moderate complexity, including conveyor installations and facility modifications. You will ensure adherence to contracts, schedules, and cost controls while developing project documentation as needed.

You will manage bid packages, evaluate proposals, develop schedules, investigate outages, and drive process improvements with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field - Preferred
• Flexible travel schedule (including weekends) - up to 100%
• Experience evaluating bid proposals
• Experience with designing solutions for process improvement

Responsibilities

• Completes the bid package process to select the most competitive bid and competent vendor for contracts
• Requests and evaluates bids and proposals according to competitive bid, background check, and competence of vendors
• Develops project schedules to ensure adherence to deadlines
• Investigates mechanical breakdown problems to prevent productivity losses
• Identifies areas for construction process improvement and design solutions to achieve optimal package flow
• Evaluates budget performance, negotiates with vendors to prevent scope changes
• Maintains cost log and processes invoices and releases funds
• Conducts construction inspections to ensure UPS standards and on-time repairs
