Job summary

Peyton Resource Group is hiring a Procurement Supervisor to lead purchasing operations for a heavy industrial environment in Mountain Pass, CA. You will supervise procurement professionals, manage the Procure-to-Pay cycle, and ensure ERP data integrity to support plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in procurement, strong supplier negotiation skills, hands-on SAP/ERP experience, and a proven track record of cost reduction and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, project procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience in industrial/mining/refining/manufacturing environments preferred.
• 3+ years in direct supervisory or team leadership roles.
• Hands-on SAP/ERP and P2P process experience required.
• Strong cost analysis and supplier negotiation capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise buyers and purchasing professionals; set priorities and performance expectations.
• Own end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, standardize PO processing and issue resolution.
• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate terms, reduce procurement risk.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Support plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects with procurement.
• Serve as SAP/ERP expert; ensure data integrity and system improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement and KPI tracking across procurement.
