Job summary

Mid City Scrap in Westport, MA is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Coordinator to support maintenance and facilities operations through timely procurement, tracking, and inventory management of parts, equipment and services. Reporting to Maintenance, you will coordinate purchasing from request to PO and invoice reconciliation, building strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, inventory control or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record for local travel.
• Experience in manufacturing, recycling, construction, fleet or heavy equipment environments preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, invoicing and supplier quotations.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase maintenance parts, repair components, equipment and shop supplies.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes considering price, lead time and quality.
• Work with maintenance manager to develop scopes for complex tasks with third parties.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate emergency and time-sensitive purchases for equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain vendor contacts, pricing, purchasing history and supplier docs.
• Travel to local shops and vendors using a company vehicle to pick up parts.
