Job summary

Generac is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead ongoing process improvement initiatives across the value chain, coordinating New Product Introductions in operations, and applying enterprise standards to document policies and procedures related to continuous improvement directives.

You will work with shop floor personnel to optimize layouts, equipment justification, and continuous manufacturing improvements, while supporting demand-driven strategies for cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology required.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with lean principles.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations.
• Contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer and maintenance of mixed model lines or value streams.
• Ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and documentation.
• Implement demand driven strategies that support operational excellence and long-range plans.
• Ensure product, material and information flows are synchronized to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
• Contribute to creation of innovative ideas to improve business results.
• Deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes.
• Implement objectives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs.
• Collaborate with shop floor personnel to continuously improve manufacturing methods, systems and controls.
• Oversee area layouts, process definitions, and equipment justification, selection and implementation
