Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a two-year contract-to-hire engagement in North Bergen, NJ. The role covers Indigo digital presses and large format systems, requiring hands-on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and weekend/on-call support.

You will train operators, troubleshoot color management, and document service activity while traveling regionally and meeting on-site requirements. The position offers growth toward a permanent role and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience on digital presses, large format, or production printing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Indigo digital presses and/or HP Large Format technology strongly preferred.
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills and networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair Indigo digital presses in commercial print environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service large format systems to manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose print quality, color management, and registration issues with press operators.
• Train customer operators on maintenance and best practices; document service activity.
• Balance service calls across platforms and participate in on-call rotation.
