Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer for hybrid deployment in Northern New Jersey. The role covers Indigo digital presses and large format systems, with on-site service and remote support where applicable.

You will install, service, and maintain equipment across multiple environments and collaborate with customers to minimize downtime. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of field service experience, strong troubleshooting, and familiarity with networking and color management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience on digital presses, large format, or production printing equipment.
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills with schematics, multimeters, and OEM diagnostics.
• Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Windows OS) and printer connectivity.
• Understanding of color management and substrate profiling.
• Valid driver's license, ability to travel regionally (occasional overnight).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain Indigo digital presses in commercial print and packaging environments.
• Install, configure, and commission large format printing systems (latex, UV-curable, dye-sublimation).
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations per manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot print quality, color, and registration; support RIP and workflow environments.
