Job summary

The Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility is seeking an Industrial Pretreatment Inspector to ensure IPP compliance through inspections, data collection, and enforcement support. You will work under the Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities include field testing, record maintenance, QA/QC activities, and preparing reports. Remote work may be considered after probation, with department approval where eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and five years of drafting, surveying, inspection, or related work.
• At least one year at the Engineering Technician II level with MOA or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Engineering/Geomatics/CAD with three years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with one year at the Engineering Technician II level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Industrial Users and facilities for IPP compliance.
• Monitor compliance, collect data, maintain records.
• Perform QA/QC, field testing, and equipment maintenance.
• Draft enforcement actions and testify in hearings.
