Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment. You will work under facility leadership and support a safe, efficient operation with strict adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, adherence to LOTO/Confined Space procedures, and CMMS documentation. On-call availability and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years experience and/or training, showing ability to identify repairs and meet production schedules.
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
• 1 year experience with LOTO and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities.
• Use of forklifts, aerial-lifts, and various rigging equipment in maintenance activities.
• Boiler, Welding, or Electrical Certification or License.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on buildings, grounds and plant machinery.
• Adheres to safety programs and LOTO/Confined Space requirements.
• Diagnoses equipment and performs repairs; on-call for urgent repairs.
• Maintains CMMS work orders and documents results.
• Assists Facility/Maintenance Manager to ensure a safe, clean, efficient facility.
