Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems running safely and efficiently in our Waste Management facility.

You will complete preventive maintenance per schedule, investigate breakdowns with root-cause analysis, and prioritize work to minimize downtime while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (preferred).
• 2–4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
• Investigate breakdowns and line stoppages using root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment; complete documentation in CMMS.
• Open/close work orders, track spare parts, and other activities in the plant’s maintenance system.
• Inspect and maintain machinery to ensure safe operation and compliance with standards.
