Job summary

Strobel Energy Group is seeking an Industrial Pipefitter to assemble, lay out, tack and maintain pipe systems. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting pipe types, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling piping components.

You will collaborate with journeymen across trades, perform leak tests, and ensure a safe, organized work area on site. 2+ years of pipe fitting experience and a high school diploma are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years’ experience with pipe fitting processes.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Must understand how to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Must be able to provide own general hand tools.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and good communication.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities, and material specs.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials per specifications.
• Cut, thread, bend and assemble pipes.
• Prepare, fabricate, layout, fit, and assemble piping components in various positions.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure for welding.
• Install hangers, supports, valves and other components per plans.
• Perform leak tests to ensure piping system quality.
• Identify and use tools properly (grinders, drills, cutting torches, etc.).
• Cut, thread, or hammer pipes using appropriate tools.
• Read ISO metric drawings and blueprints.
• Collaborate with journeymen of multiple trades to complete tasks.
• Hoist loads with slings, chains, shackles, and rigging equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
