Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter in La Porte, TX to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and supports for industrial production. You will work with steam, hot water, and hydraulic systems, following specs and safety rules on-site. Journeyman level experience and NCCER certification are required, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years journeyman level experience.
• NCCER-Ind Pipe PV certification and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and supports.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures.
• Plan pipe system layout according to specifications.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
• Inspect work sites and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
