Austin Industrial provides premier maintenance and construction services to leading industrial companies across the U.S. This on-site pipefitter role focuses on laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, and production systems.

Requires 4 years Journeyman experience, NCCER-Ind Pipe PV, and a valid driver’s license. The job is full-time and on-site with safety and productivity as core priorities.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders/benders.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and related materials according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and equipment following specifications.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure structural integrity.
• Operate pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
• Must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
