Job summary

TIC_Craft in Texas is seeking a skilled pipefitter to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in accordance with plans, specs and codes. The role requires reading isometrics, fabricating and installing piping, welding joints, and coordinating with supervision.

You will operate beveling machines, grinders, pipe threaders and related tools, perform hydro tests, and ensure safety compliance on a noisy industrial site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of pipe types and joints.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Proficient with electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of pipe types and joints including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints.
• Read isometrics, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and equipment by welding and threading.
• Position materials and workpieces during installation per plans and specs.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance and correct deficiencies.
