Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Seminole, TX is seeking a skilled piping installer. You will plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems per plans, specs, codes and standards. Requires reading drawings, fabricating, welding prep, rigging and hydro-testing capabilities.

We value safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Overtime, nights, and weekend work may be required depending on workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read isometric drawings and follow plans precisely.
• Proficient use of measurement tools and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe types and joint methods (butt, socket, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, fused).
• Read drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align and secure components for welding and assembly per specs.
• Assemble and secure pipes and related equipment by welding and threading.
• Position materials and install items according to plans.
• Identify material thickness and type; rigging as needed.
• Operate beveling machines, grinders, threaders, torches, drills, and saws.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems;
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time and costs for tasks.
• Inspect and correct subordinates' work for contract compliance.
